Lucy qualified in 2014 as an advanced clinical sport and remedial massage therapist. She is an experienced practitioner who treats a wide range of patients from marathon runners to elderly patients, pre and post-natal ladies and office workers. Having had a competitive sporting background herself and a career in the military as a musician, Lucy has first-hand experience of injury setbacks and how it affects your body and mind, she uses her experience to help others.
She is also a qualified personal trainer and yoga teacher and is passionate to help patients to achieve pain-free movement off of the massage couch. She likes to encourage patients to continue to move and stretch to help manage and prevent injury. She is a big believer in the principle "use it or lose it!"
Lucy takes great interest in patients' mental health and well-being and often helps patients with breathing pattern disorders and those suffering from stress and anxiety. She uses a range of breathing techniques, mindfulness and meditation to help people to continue with their self-care plan. Lucy also offers one-to-one and small group yoga instructing.
Each patient Lucy sees, she treats with undivided care and attention and tailors the treatment plan to their individual needs. "Every body and everybody is unique".
To further her knowledge and enhance her skills as a body-work practitioner, Lucy is also undertaking a degree in Osteopathy at The College of Osteopaths and hopes to graduate in 2023 as an Osteopath.
